The ringleader of this demonic circus had cages as a big motif in her scene, and they played with the light effectively and dramatically.
This strongman's set includes a functional, completely unique custom carnival high striker. His Dante's Inferno inspired tattoos were also drawn by hand and copied onto thermofax paper.
Feature on the strongman's tattoos. Skin safe, and didn't budge on a 12 hour shoot.
The marquee lights on the high striker were rigged to alternate when the teardrop hit the bell.
The concept behind this shoot was "street royalty," so it was aesthetically imperative to juxtapose the broken furniture with the cool, mysterious elegance of the forest at night.

This scene involved creating rubble and timing the flinging of dust and debris towards actors to imitate a wall exploding off-camera.
Since the queen was wearing stilettos for this shoot, the pallets had to be doubled down on safety by screwing in stunt-aid boards.
Mysterious elixirs, dried herbs in a basket, glass bowls filled with broken shells, twisted bones and dusty tomes. Come, won't you sit a while?
The ringleader leers at a crony, while the cages hanging from the ceiling cast menacing shadows.
The cannibal clown lurks in his mirror maze. His costume was made by hand, and features gory eyeball buttons.
116 smoke bombs of various colors were purchased for this shoot, to create a dreamy, surreal effect.
Pierrot makes a rather morbid gesture, waving a hand that doesn't belong to him. Gore effects provided by Shane Morton.
This coronation is a scene from the music video Sit You Down, by CLAVVS. The crown was made out of scrap metal.
True to the band's name, the queen rocks a fearsome set of custom claws.
